Dolores Dianne (Hopkins) Landwehr, 66, of Dacono died January 3, 2009 at HospiceCare Center in Louisville. She was born August 10, 1942 in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Mike and Harriet (Buchanan) Patik.
Dolores graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1961, and the University of Wyoming in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Dolores moved to Longmont in 1966 from Thermopolis. She married Larry Landwehr on May 6, 1995 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Dolores taught Drama and English at Niwot High, Longmont High and Longs Peak Jr. High Schools, retiring in 1995. Dolores was a life Master Bridge player, and a member of the Boulder Bridge Club. She loved her family, grandchildren and friends, as well as being a Denver Bronco’s fan she enjoyed golf, cooking, and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Kathleen Jameson.Dolores is survived by her husband Larry of Dacono, a son Tyson Hopkins and wife Lisa of Tumwater, Washington, a daughter Heather Suits and husband Rex of Berthoud, four grandchildren; Sierra, Shania, Connor and Raegan. Memorial service will be 11 Am Thursday January 8, 2009 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation was at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Cremation service with Inurnment at a later time.
