Obituary of Les Joseph Wilson

Leslie Joseph Wilson, born in Denver, Colorado on September 19, 1960 to Harley and Irene (Ridil) Wilson. He was a lifelong Colorado native. He left this world on June 28, 2021 at the age of 60.

Les was a hard working truck driver for many years. He loved fixing things and turning wrenches on cars, trucks and boats. He worked hard, and liked to play even harder. He very much loved his family and his friends, and was known to others as either Les, Gus or Bamps. One of his favorite things to do was floating on a boat on Carter Lake or whichever lake was the next destination. Whether Carter, Horsetooth, Glendo, McConaughy or Flaming Gorge. If his family and friends were heading to the lake, you could count on Les being there. He was a big part of many peoples lives over the years.

Les is survived by his children Jessica Witting (Tom), Matthew Wilson (Michelle), his seven grandchildren, Alyssa (Nate), Kelsey, Riley and Makenna Witting, Paxton, Audree and Roman Wilson, with a great grandson on the way. Also his siblings Roxanne Harper (Larry), Rex Wilson (Kim), Dan Wilson, Craig Wilson (Joan), Amy Lopez (Steve) and Paula Thompson (Ken). As well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Irene Wilson and his sister Lynette Maliapard (Karl).

A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the garden area, at Berthoud Brewing Loveland (5030 Local). Located at 1480 Cascade Ave. Loveland, CO 80538. A celebration of life will immediately follow in the upstairs area of Berthoud Brewing Loveland. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
